Your responsibilities
SUMMARY: The Sales Engineer will be the Cold Forge(CF) sales and technical contact for customers concerning winning new business, communication with our company as well as topics related to product quality and manufacturability. Focus on Customer Satisfaction, Development, and the Support to relation needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Development of opportunities with customers including value add/value engineering, existing and new products, capabilities, and solutions to customers
Internal interdepartmental coordination with sales, engineering, production and, quality to meet product project plan targets
Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and capabilities
Understand existing and future customer needs and communicate within CF Sales Group
Develop solutions to meet customer needs together with CF Group
Liaison between CF and Customer from RFQ to final product delivery
Track progress of customer related topics (new product, changed product, quality or delivery issue) able to communicate CF Group needs to the customer and customer needs to CF Group
Understand CF product cost-drivers
Competitor analysis
Continuously observe customer topics and bring critical reporting to management.
Involvement with customer negotiations and new and existing customer calls

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Professional business skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in communication to automotive customers
Working to reach goals, self-management of the required tasks.
High analytical and planning skills
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP and other Automotive Industry Standards for Quality and Projects
Experience in project management and general management
Foreign languages: German or Spanish is a plus
Experience dealing with different cultures.
Travel up to 25%
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or equivalent field with over 5 years experience in the automotive or similar industry. Must be willing to travel domestic and international.
